Well , talk about originality and the opposite or antonyms for cliche, you will find it in your poetry! Inventive and well articulated words! Love it! The depth of this is moving! Best wishes for the contest

A painfully brilliant quote Dilly, I can clearly see the unraveling or (loss of life) in the unpicking, think I’d take my chances, and let them heal naturally, I know the Chinese used ‘Lingchi’ (Death by a thousand cuts) but that’s an altogether different beast, great one for contest cheers David

Thanks David, I borrowed slightly from the original (along with "you can't die from a paper cut" which I'm sure I've heard somewhere) and mingled the two. But indeed this is more about rumination than physical injury. Thanks for stopping by :)
