Tree of Death

Souls swing on trees as snowflakes, they melt into bark coffins, pearl blood of bare forest blends; rising as angels... September 30th 2020 Contest: Writing Challenge – Dodoitsu Sponsor: Constance La France First Place

wow, deep and beautiful. Maybe I am seeing it wrong, but it makes me think of a blues song to do with poor souls who were hanged by Klansmen. It is a very poetic song and I can't even think of its name right now. Anyway, belated congrats on your well deserved win.

This poem captures the beauty of death in the circle of life so wonderfully Chantelle. I loved this moving piece that is sure to do well in the contest my friend. I am still caught up in paperwork and transferring things into my name in the aftermath of my husband’s death. Reading poetry helps ground me. Very lovely! Blessings xxoo
