The Weight of Wind
the weight of wind
all life restrain
as the lifting wing
to the downward rain
suppresses night
trajectory
pulse
encephalopathy
consume the night
placate the moon
transcends the dark
a moth in ruin
its haggard maw
in gloom agape
wallows darkness
light escape
the weight of wind
my soul supine
the slaughtered sun
the twisted vine
wrap me cold
and fold my bones
then weigh my body down
with stones
set me blind
into the bleak
under the scars
I’ll hide-and-seek
on edges soft
we cannot die
in god and sea
the wind and I
