You know what, Bill? This is one of the best love poems I have read.. In his classic book 'The Road Less Travelled', M. Scott Peck so accurately describes the truest love as an action, not an emotion. We are generally confused as humans, but this little piece of clever poetry is a jewel of truth. Perfect! Cx

You're quoting one of my favorite authors, Christopher. I've read almost all of Peck's book to my wife over the years. She likes me to read to her, then we discuss what we got out of each day's reading. Sara Etgen Baker is my wife, she is a poet here at Poetry Soup also. Check out her poetry, you won't be disappointed. A poet friend to be, Bill

That is a wonderful little poem on love. I enjoy this form, especially when they do contests with it.

Need to make the lines 6 syllables each for a contest though. :-) I'm still planning on entering a contest someday ... this could be the year. :-)

I like it too, Andrea. I haven't written but a few in my two years here, but I'll write more over the next two years. :-) Thanks for the visit and comments, my friend. Hugs, Bill

such a nicely written Pleiades about love. Some folks have a hard time showing love, even though they feel love and compassion for another person. Lasting love is a need...we all need unconditional love...having it is soulful. eastside writing bear

Some are endlessly searching for love, but fail to recognize the need to be proactive in displaying love. Nice poem cowboy!
