The Haunting of A Heart
I've learned how time slips away
The years keep rolling right on by.
I've watched Tomorrow become yesterday
All in just a blink of an eye.
Now some memories remain sharp and true
Lingering for all of our time.
And more and more I think of you
I wonder if I ever cross your mind.
Remember all those long hot summer nights
when our love was shiny and new
Curse those silly over sized fights
That now only leave me misty and blue
And who ever said time will heal all pain
Told a cold and bare faced lie
In the end it doesn't matter who is to blame
Lost loves haunt your heart till you die.
