Take up your fiddle

Strike the bow across my strings and let me sing For unseen spirits in the sunshine, I’ll cry the heart’s lament, Give voice to silent sorrows, That rest inside your heart, If you would take me by my pegbox, turn my soundpost To the stars and let me heal you, Place all your pain in me, Turn storm clouds into song, Make magic once again, Lay your heavy head upon my chinrest, Let your stoic fingers fly, ‘Fore your knuckles turn to stone, Give way to that which calls you, Before the music dies, I’ve laid silent in the closet, made to watch as music Vacates the musician, As the magic fails the mage, I’m here and I am waiting, To save you from the still. With your fingers at my strings and the horsehair bow aloft we’ll fill the cosmos, With music full of life, With stars to light the dark spots, That hide within your mind, To heal the bleeding silence, Before the music dies. -SilentSymphonies
