I've never checked whether other goths like hammocks Or previously even wondered about the correlation between goth, pirate and witch Birds are tweeting and building nests I've just emptied the kitchen bin, so I'm enjoying my domestic goddess break by lying in the hammock in the garden wearing inappropriate yet versatile footwear (should I wish to be a goth, pirate, witch or all three) This needs one more thought, but I'm drifting past it all listening to ever more distant sounds and letting the breeze magic away any tense muscles or complex thoughts...

Ooh, witchy. Love the whole Dilly experience. I could never wear pointy boots, wait I had a pair of burgundy cowboy boots, my country dance phase, lasted bout 2 minutes. Looks so cozy in fresh crisp air. Special moments are rare, treasure!

I think it depends on the pointy shoe Anaya, I've had several as a boot with a kitten heel that are wildly comfortable. Stilettos never are of course. My country phase hasn't arrived yet, although my daughter has a pair of black and white cowboy boots and we are the same size - so I could give it a try. Fun Fact - I got the platinum trophy on Just Dance for Cotton Eye Joe about 6 years ago on Playstation. I never check but my husband says I'm still one of the international high scorers for it haha :)

Versatile footwear ah it is! How beautiful! We have alot of hammocks here in the maldives: and yours looks stunning. I love your boots! I would love to steal those. And i grew up goth but never thought of what other goths might like or think of if i were goth enough haha i think i was the only goth i knew, more like an outcast. Clever thoughts penned here: be you , stay true, always~

My two shoe poems have been unexpectedly popular haha hilarious! Think I've been on the wrong track with all the existentialism lol. Yes, if I were ever in a position to enquire what another goth thought they were too stereotypically goth and I'd bail and get back to talking to heavy metal people haha. I’m just wondering how on earth you managed to get into the hammock with witches boots on, don’t answer that Dilly, I get it! it’s hit and miss just like parallel parking, lol! A nice whimsy chill out moment we all need at least one every day, leave the complex thoughts to the birds :) cheers David

The hammock brightens this poem, and makes me feel like taking a nap. If I was persistent. I'd finish my work first. This is a rare poem that makes me feel guilty for not having emptied the bin. I do like it, though.

I'd say chuck the boots, Dilly. Who cares if you're a goth, a pirate, and especially if you're a witch. Let those toes breathe like the rest of you and enjoy your time swinging. Singing... "Rock me gently. Rock me slowly. Take it easy. Don't you know that I have never been loved like this before."

Haha sounds like I'd need to be also swigging from.a bottle for that routine to be fully immersive lol

stay in your hammock and let the whispers in the wind blow your cares away - I don't think it matters who rocks in a hammock goths included lol- I wish i had one its very therapeutic being rocked like a baby:-) hugs Jan xx

My daughter spotted me so I ended up watching a gymnastics routine then playing hide and seek (although I managed a version where I had to find her by voice and could remain in the hammock lol)
