I lay on my mattress and think; Dark broods and silent reflection Have no meaning If they bring forth no new resolve This is mine: There is a race I must run, A course I must finish, A victory I must win, A crown I must gain. This I must accomplish. For this only, Can I give up my life and times God grant me means As I pursue my resolve
