Pull of life

Each pull takes you to another level
Makes you feel 'less' neglected
Forget about being stranded
The gods you have friended

But your angel wings were on loan
Feather by feather you descend further from your throne...
And suddenly the world feels so cold

So you light up to feel the warmth again
Except this time the pull just reminds you of how stuck you are
How vulnerable you've subjected yourself to life

And if the pull is your only means of escape then surely you shall depart for death... but that's not what you afraid of is it?
You afraid of life than you are of death
So your pulls become longer
Suffocating yourself in fiction

'There's light at the end of the tunnel
Just because it's long doesn't mean you'll live in the dark forever'

A voice sounds, as if whispered to you by God himself
Ready to face reality
Refusing to give up
You realized you don't need to live amongst the gods to feel alive...
