Poems be like

Lamenting all the words I no longer write Whether they stick or slide away Do I lose my unwritten mind A subconscious that doesn't rise to meet me Should I place blame For I know when I stopped Or reflect that ends are ends Creativity used up I see errors and nothingness Written out in longhand Stealing my time That I used to give so freely I hover too long The nothings enveloping Until the page is closed For today

Di11y, I can relate since I sometimes think of things to write only to find I have forgotten the next day. Writing things down can help as long as the inspiration or idea is there and worth the effort. I hope you are able to keep your "composure." It's sometimes very difficult. Smiles!

Thanks Duke, poems rarely work on the after thought I find. Thank you for your comment

It reminds me of the advert for the camera: 'A Kodak moment'. If not captured, it is lost. But I don't think so. Sometimes we see more clearly by not looking directly at it. :)

You can always recognise my stuff: Can't spell and use words I don't quite know the meaning of. It helps me not to be perfect. Sometimes I get inspiration from reading your poems - indirectly - sometimes only days later. Like a subconscious that percolates.

Haha I'm imagining Kodak using my poems to a bemused audience now lol yes, I think thoughts circle back eventually. Sometimes we have to start an unrelated poem and the other stuff finds it's way in. Thank you for your comment

I compose a remarkable poem in my mind and before I can commit it to paper, phone, computer it disappears forever to be my triumph lost. Am I alone? :o//

I'd like to think that's happened (the triumph of if only) however sometimes I write a bit of the definite masterpiece then go back later and find something uninspiring on the page. Perhaps it's like trying to rejoin where you'd be if swinging from vine to vine (not sure how Tarzan arrived in this tale) but you can't be in the right place without the momentum. But yes, the best poems aren't written, they float away - it's absolutely the case :)

This one reminds me of that mysterious Dark energy that is filling and tearing the universe apart, nobody knows where it came from, yet they know when it first became prominent about half way back to the Big Bang, so relax there Dilly it’s only a blip of block, you’re still in touch with the cosmos, just a few growing pains to negotiate along your journey, cheers David

I never doubted you David, you're an honest man. It's just so weird having no poems when I couldn't switch it off at one point.

I honestly found meaning and cosmic analogies in your poem, the inspiration is definitely there, just needs to disseminate through your mind ;)
