Penguin And Friend
I wish to write an englyn
About a little penguin,
Who was visiting England
With his friend the capuchin,
Looking very smart and trim,
He had brought his mandolin,
A delightful specimen,
Really something of a gem,
And he likes to play it when
He and the penguin attend
The yearly festival again,
They will both remember then
Their first sighting of the Queen,
Who was wearing gold and cream,
In what looked like velveteen;
When the show came to an end
They departed from the scene,
High in everyone's esteem,
And they sang a requiem
As their boat sailed up the Thames.
