Peace Rally

A sea of faces lifted to the sun, banners rippling, a kaleidoscope of hope, voices rising, a chorus against the storm. Footsteps echoing on concrete, a rhythmic pulse, a pilgrimage of the weary, the wounded, the wise, seeking solace in shared conviction. The air thick with chants, with whispered prayers, with the raw, untamed energy of millions of hearts, beating in unison, a defiant drumbeat. Is it a fragile dream, a fleeting moment of unity, a desperate plea against the tide of conflict, or a spark, igniting a wildfire of change? The placards, hand-scrawled with longing, with dismay, with the slogans of unity not divisiveness, a silent testament to the cost of chaos. Eyes that have seen too much, hands that have held too little, voices that have cried out in the darkness, now lifted in a symphony of hope. The police line, a silent barrier, a watchful gaze, a reminder of the power that opposes, the forces that seek to silence the song. Does the echo of their voices fade, like footprints in the sand, or does it resonate, a seismic shift in the soul of a nation, a promise whispered on the wind? Seeds of order are sown in this gathering of souls. And will they bloom, despite the thorns, into a garden of peace, a harvest of change? ©bfa032625
