I haven't reached that point yet, /Bill, but I may at some point. Just hope the SSA holds out at least as long as I do.

So true. We need the elasticity of pensions to cover all our bills. Well expressed, Bill. I hope the bill collector is far, far from your door. Cheers, Brian

We're okay, Brain, I've just been thinking about how hard it is for people on a pension of anykind that is set. With inflation, they're headed towards the situation of less and less buying power. Even social security doesn't come close to matching the increasing cost of living. Thanks for the comment. Cherrs, Bill

That's a catchy motto for a tough situation indeed. Especially since the prices keep 'extending'. If we can pay our bills in silver, then a silver pension may keep costs down some.

When one reads this one-liner of yours it probably elicits lots of 'ayes' and gets heads nodding in agreement, Bill! People who rely solely on their pension to survive often find it hard, despite all the pulling & stretching! ~ regards // paul

Yep, I agree, Paul. I still know we're blessed, but approching 80, I'm more concerned with running out of money then dying. Thanks for the visit and comments, my friend. Bill

It can only stretch so far, there is not much over for unexpected bills when your appliances all seem to need replacing at the same time. But we have enough for our needs and feel that there are so many people in the world that are really suffering and would love a share of our good fortune. ( Basics) Well said, Bill

Good Morning Bill. Oh how true. Those who receive payment once a month with no increase work miracles time and time again because pays do not increase but everything else do. This is a wonderful impact statement. Have a wonderful morning and day. May this day find you well with hopes to all for no extensions which is scary. Blessings now and always. (smile)

That happens to parents of young kids too when the best job they can find is a grocery store warehouse worker.
