A very interesting view of predetermination. Food for thought. There are probably some things that we should not resist. A complete analysis would require a major philosophical discussion. How can something so simple be so complicated?

I hesitated to put it the way I did. Predestination or predetermination is reserve for powers beyond human, in my humble opinion. Fun to talk about though. I've read a lot of psychology, sociology and philosophy books, first two were my majors in college. Then throw in the Bible and world religions I've studied over the years, and you begin to see why I like talking and writing about all of them. My comments and replies get too long for these little boxes. lol

It was a pleasure to read your exceptional piece, my dear friend Bill. Your insight into the concept of destiny as the path of least resistance is truly profound. I found particular resonance in your metaphor likening it to a river's journey to the sea. A fave from you to my list.

I'd like to float down a lazy river with you in a canoe, again, Sara. Those were fun adventures in those early years of our life together. Thanks for the comments! Bill
