Nod to Bertrand Russell
Nod to Bertrand Russell
Oh, how much his words have moved me,
Introspective philosophy…
Three passions, simple, and so strong,
Has beared witness, to my heart’s song…
Longing for love and affection,
An idea of such perfection…
To really have intimacy,
A woman, who, truly loves me…
The search for knowledge and for truth,
Although, the world seems so uncouth…
It’s an endless appetite,
For real truth, and, the inner light…
A true empathy for mankind,
Suffering, in body or mind…
The poor and the persecuted,
Over useless war; or things disputed…
Bertrand Russell has penned it well,
I love the deep truths he reveals.
