Mum flashed by
Flashing of my life before my very eyes
Where on earth did that go and oh what a surprise
I see what life has given, I see what I have too
But most of all what flashes by was my life with you
My sweet and tender mother
Just a five foot tiny wee thing
So bold and full of loveliness
I knelt within her wing
So now as my life has flashed
Flashed before my eyes
I see how much I miss her
And how much I do and did cry
I think I was a good daughter
I know I wanted to be
But oh mum that time just flashed
Just gone before I could even see
So what I’m trying to say
To say in almost the right way
Is “that” life flashed from view
The life I had with you
Life flashes before your eyes contest
