God's intention for marriage is a beautiful oneness-a walking in tandem ...

Like clouds drifting through a sun-brightened sky, My thoughts start to ask, where, what, when and why. Why am I here with you, what must I do? How do I determine what’s really true? Love offers something we can hold on to, You pledge to me, as I pledge love to you. We’ll give as freely as we will receive, Accept the oneness in which we believe. Peace is embellished by those who are quiet, Living in the present, no end in sight. Forget your past, all happiness and strife, Easing tension like slicing with a knife. This is the way to live a mindful life. Two living as one as husband and wife.

I find it a necessity as I get older, Jerry. Life is hard enough in the present. Living while dragging a bag of past concerns or guilt makes it near impossible to function in a way that allows Love to flow through me. Thanks for the thoughtful comments, Jerry. Great to have you back. I'll catch up on your new post this week my friend. Bill

your lovely Sonnet brought me such joy and am misty-eyed when I think of how your poem is a reflection of our marriage. I also liked the mindful words in the last two verses....living in the present eases tension. Living in the present allows love to flow more freely. Well done, dear hubby! hugs me

A lovely sonnet and I like how it touches upon the concept of peace, suggesting that it is found in embracing the present moment and letting go of past burdens. The imagery of "slicing tension with a knife" evokes a sense of release and liberation from the weight of unresolved emotions, emphasizing the importance of living in the present and finding tranquility within oneself.

I agree with your mother's words, Inky. Misery and sorrow are both seeds of sickness. Thanks for your kind words about Sara and me, my friend, and thank you for the FAV! :-) May Light and Love be with you forever. Hugs, Bill
