Late Night Questions Answered

It is said the eyes have it
I’s have it also.

And the I to eyes contact, oh…
Mysteries to explore in the coming and going.

Used so much for lessor things they bloat
With creeping scales needing constant wash.

Softly touch I my scales on bloated eyes
With wise knowledge clean clear to see.

Squashed then, to rightly be
Truest of true seeing, reflections of...

Me.

Me, myself, and I the same
No matter name, no matter game.

None above the other claims the fame
Each sees as imprinted, there is no blame.

As today I looked at the Sun to find my heart
Also missing from the fray.

'It is not here,' I was disappointingly told
'Even when I reflected gentlest care your way’.

‘For you left it over a nighttime ago
In Moon's soft embrace, for there to stay.'

'Since in Sun's light so bright and hot
Too often does blindness hide wisdoms away.'

‘Better in quiet reflection do they best come by and linger
As bird's soft whispering's welcome My more soothing touch.'

Aha, this is why I stay up for this
Until scabs dry, falling away, with no pressure much.

And washing tears of joy that fall
I can then let Sun bright rise ‘til set…

To better live my days to come
Until my Sun then sets to rest.

Me, myself, and I the same
No matter name, no matter game.

None above the other claims the fame
Each sees as imprinted, there is no blame.

As Me, my Self, and I, the same.
