Agedly sagedly David F Attenborough said we were doomed with a very sad face. We dragged our knuckles round uncomprehendingly, wrapped him in plastic and launched him to space. 18 Feb 2020 Double dactyl rules! Double dactylic rhythm 8 lines; syllable count 6664 6664 Line 1 has two slightly nonsensical rhyming words Line 2 is a name Line 6 consists of a single word Lines 4 and 8 rhyme It’s weird but it works! :-)

Count me among those who loves the knuckle dragging line. I've been accused of that quite a bit so it double resonates. Great poem.

Of course, a good ppportunity to state that he’s already knighted, a point I only failed to acknowledge due to “Sir David Attenborough” being non-dactylic. Meter before deference, always :-)

Giggles cuz what else can we do, c'ept proclaim our admiration for the wonderful Sir Attenborough. My other iPad is named after him- my honey falls asleep to him, hugging the device like a teddybear. ;),
