Image result for ballerina in moonlight

oh, you ... you found me ... again ... unveiled amid the bosom of my dreams, my consciousness peeled back and flayed - tabled in a twilight mist, for the memories of you to feast upon ... drowning in the fathoms of your gaze, your scent - pouring its alert fascination into my marrow, the tang of your pulpy tongue, that confection sweetness of your skin, (and the warm, wild places beneath it) - vessels and walls and fair flesh ... your intent within it all, to conduct me ... while allowing me the sway to exploit your exploitation of the moments ... letting me control your control of me, foxy, sensual smile on your face ... perfecting your movements and lines, (as a ballerina should) it is all still there, as if the years since were phantoms, gone with a breath of regret and you inhabit me now, as then, preying on my sleep-time meanderings, without mercy - without an ounce of benevolence or pity. oh, You ... no other vexes me so completely ... no one pervades my nettled dreams as you do, nor will anyone ... ever again morning always comes too soon, blushing, and much, much too bright the love that we both swore eternity to, that we knew with all conviction to be as sure as starlight, and as deep as the sea of suns, is now nothing but a damp blemish ... on my pillow. * TENTH PLACE in the "Your Favorite Poem Written In February" Poetry Contest, Laura Loo, Sponsor. *

A romantic and impassioned poem Gregory. Every line is so expressively and achingly poetic of lost love. Deep, exquisite (I use that word a lot to describe your poetry) and profound. Congratulations on your excellent win my friend..

I agree with John, Greg. Partial to your writing or not, it's ladder rungs above most that were placed higher. You specialize in polishing raw gems so their lustrous prisms sparkle.

Letting me control your control of me, that is profoundly romantic, so good Greg but we have come to expect that from you, congrats on placing in this tough contest, (I would have placed it higher, but I'm a little partial) take care!

Very kind of you, my friend, and I had an idea you might like this one - you are a hopeless romantic as I am, and very partial to women and all the wonders they hold! Blessings and thanks, John! :-)

You are so in tune with your sexual side, writing this way seems second nature to you Greg. Still love hurts eh?

Indeed it does, Jean, but I have found TWO soulmates in this life, (though I squandered both), while many never find one, so while the pain is deep, so was the extraordinary blessing of loving on such a level, and I wouldn't change it. And the melancholy is wonderful muse, Jean, don't you think? I believe we were given those experiences and our writing energies so we could share with others ... another blessing! Thank you, Dear Friend! :-) <3
