Serenity Prayer Sunrise Landscape Photograph by Christina Rollo - Fine ...

Though alone, he appeared day after day. We couldn’t see him, and he could not stay. Reverently, we each began to pray, listening quietly for what he would say. Then we’d just know in an unknown way. We knew somehow, we’d not be led astray. Like fresh fruit, his words before us he’d lay, then deep in our hearts, we’d place them to stay. Who was this presence we felt every day? Why not reveal himself and with us stay? We still ask these questions each time we pray, listening quietly for what he will say. We have faith again he will come our way, and trust his answers won’t lead us astray.

??Acts 17:28 KJVAAE?? [28] for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. A poet of God you are my friend, blessings to you and Sara, what a treasure you two have to share, to both seek the true treasures of God within that spreads throughout all : )

The mystery of the invisible trinity, visible in prayer and faith. We remind ourselves, lest we forget, of past events where God is fully apparent. We remember that every day our very breath, the beating of our hearts show us that He lives.

So, true, Kim. I'm thankful the moment I awake, for another day of life. I'm surprised I'm still here, but He must have a reason with all he's done to keep me alive. I really pushed the envelope a few times while in the military. Oh God! How great thou art. Blessings, Bill

A beautiful sonnet as ever. His unseen presence can only be felt. But the messages He gives can be heard and sensed. They will guide us and lead us. We won't go astray if we listen to them. Have a happy week ahead with your dear Sara.

His answers are the path we need to grow, we just need to listen and be able to discern.

To have faith in his presence to guide us is why we won’t get lost or not lead astray. Be not faithless, but believing. Thanks for the enlightening words,

The 'Serenity Prayer' is one of my favorites. Thanks for including it with this poem. What a serene and reverent Sonnet, Bill. Faith is believing in Him even though we can't see him. Faith is believing in our heart of hearts that he won't let us astray, listening quietly for what he has to say. Softly powerful and enriching words, dear hubby. Sonnets are your forte...hugs, me

I've met with small groups of people of various faiths, religions, and belief systems over the years, but the ones that are seeking truth all seem to resonate with one another in spite of the differences of our backgrounds. It is inspiring to know that what can reach a man soul touches everyone the same. In this world we have "universal" which are events that happen in all societies; in the spiritual world it is a knowing that reaches all of creation. those are the things I hold most dear. Blessings my dear friend. Bill
