trapped under my own weight like a horseshoe crab with a broken tail that’s been flipped upside down; clenching helplessly, unable to right itself. i’m nailed to the ground, paining and burning under the very sun that makes this world a beautiful place. waiting for the tide to roll out and sweep me in
