I Never said I was an Angel

I applaud you But the tables turn As you burn with anger You showed your true colours Your divorce melted the pain deep into your soul You become cold I was the one who was bold As I told you that you were not about the bedroom Because there was so much room in my heart But you were so prideful and I guess that stems from your divorce! Even though you were older You were colder I never said I was an angel but you are so prideful You view men in a different light The fight in your life isn’t over Even though you were alone so Tell me, how did you go from someone I believed in, Into somebody so prideful but I guess that stems from your divorce! I never said I was an angel I applaud you But the tables turn As you burn with anger You showed your true colours I don’t like what I see Because I am no angel! You are so prideful and You made your beauty so ugly! Mark Frank Copyright 2021

Hello Mark - I turned to this entry because of the title. How true your words can be when somehow love fades and people somehow part. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy poetry soup.
