How could not One Love Everything

How could not one love everything
When he’s found the inner wealth
So much joy this world would bring
As the mind would fill with health
One must learn to throw away
All self-hatred deep within
For when the soul has been cleansed out
A new life will begin

The trouble with the whole damned world
Is, none have inner peace
We have within us too much din
We’ll never find release
Yet in the end we all are one
There is no segregation
And, so the world is filled with wars
Between divided nations

If we try to find ourselves
By the art of self-enquiry
Something will happen deep within
Then such beauty we will see
Then people would not want to fight
For love would conquer all
As all the world would feel delight
Then life will be so beautiful

I love it that this poem is giving me the duty and responsibility and permission to find the "real me". What? My husband, my muse and my dog are all laughing at me, Peter. But, others may need it a bit more than I, so thank you for writing this one for them (AND ME!).

Hi Caren, most people in this silly world we live in are not ready for what I say. They will live on with all the fear that most people have. afraid of living, afraid of dying afraid of living, Then the self hatred will always be there and the wars will go on and on. Many people will laugh at my words, but will they ever feel the joy that comes with the knowing. Thank you for your comments, my friend...Peter
