Looking for positivity, you've come to the wrong stop...
Take the next one.
I've fallen off the train,
shrouded in darkness,
only light with buzzing moths.
Streets I know too well,
lampposts' lights out the fog.
I've been cut loose without a say,
can't let anger get in the way.
Hands can't take it,
as they once were too.
Okay, so this feeling is new,
is it what I've been asking for, for so long?
Is this what I want?
I do believe love exists,
however, where I am now, I think the meaning on others is lost,
only because "one" didn't get what they want.
Goddamn material, always gets in my way,
"oh, but it's needed, it's important."
Not where I'm from, this I thought "one" knew.
Like the shadow that never leaves,
or the demon you have to confront,
I did say positivity is at the next stop.
Health and safety have no place here, not on this night,
is my interpretation of beauty too much to ask for?
Just a smile when I walk through the door,
to love every inch, nothing else matters,
Shut out this world or what's left of it.
Knows no bounds, for my sake
