For Kai Michael Neumann's Healing Poetry contest

I'm undecided if poetry is healing maybe it's the heart of me it's stealing as I write whilst still reeling trying to get out all I'm feeling at times it's all too revealing words edited, hastily concealing wondering if there's another way of dealing that's less intense and more appealing whilst I'm in the mood for freewheeling I'll try a cup of Darjeeling see if that can get me off the ceiling from where I regularly need peeling

Wow you can really rhyme! I wish i can too effortlessly without using my brain too much! I absolutely love the subject and also how youve woven words here, and i sometimes think this too.. altho for me poetry is cathartic, i really llve the last few lines! So different its like your poetry is full of surprises! Best wishes dear dd

Thanks Ink, monorhyme is like putting a puzzle together - in my head that makes it easier but i think I just got lucky that healing rhymed with suitable words for the theme. Thank you for stopping by :)

Hello dilly Dally, yes poetry is healing. In ored to heal , one must find the right poem to heal. When tha poe3 is found read it over and over to feel the healing. Hugs. /Darlene/

I too have mixed feelings about writing poetry, is it really healing me, or putting myself out there for the reader, the cathartic effects can be brief, sometimes spinning off into a low, and oxymoronically end up on the ceiling in need of peeling, great rhyme scheme throughout, and a bonus point for slotting in Darjeeling, lots of humour shines throughout this piece, brilliant monorhyme, cheers David

Glad you spotted the humour in this one David :) I've suddenly got the bug for contests again so weird and wonderful poems may transpire depending on the theme. I'm not sure anymore what poetry brings but it remains compelling for now. I appreciate your comment :)
