Gems and Petals

Astounded ... Death caught his breath ... cast his net to the stars, thrown to drape green beryl shards - hand-over-hand he hauled, bracing for angels. Angular, faceted gems, melted and poured ... cities of emerald spires glinted in his glass like ice, black-eyed flowers dressed for a Tango - (none named Susan ... using). Spinning in the easy poison breeze ... whirling brisk and spitting thistle, adrift on a scintillating mist, clenched fist - still a dim mystery to his rested wrists. Red corundum turned liquid, thus imbibed ... to burn his phony bones - crimson in his eyes, scorched and clotted like tiny cabochon rubies - shattered by a false fealty, that winks ... That nips its luscious bow lips, coy, calculated ... lighting a mended, double-ended fuse, that ignites only itself - its spicy, sassy self - fire heats, desire competes ... complete ...
