Eve Contest Poem

Into temptation by power of suggestion Calls all of your life now into question Eve denied just one fruit alone Feast on forbidden then God will disown Toil and hardship are the path you must tread With Eden denied, just life full of dread For all of your desires lead only to pain No chance for choice to be taken again You cannot go back only onwards to go No mercy when unpayable debt that you owe A lesson taught that we all must heed Safety is lost the minute we're freed

Poor Eve...she always gets a bad wrap. But as your poem points out, she was the first to grasp the nettle of freedom. Good one.
