There is a reason that I never go into the desert. A great senryu, my friend. Have a wonderful evening, Bill.

I like this one and the snapshot that goes along with it. Doesn't seem like a hospitable place to be. I would think it would take a strong person to go there. Thanks for sharing your talent with us and for dropping by my page. Sara K

Dear Bill, What a delightful Senryu! I really enjoyed the wording and the theme. It made me think about so many deserts that I have been to. Thanks for lighting up my morning. - Blessings, Daniel

You're welcome, my friend. Sara and I used to run out through the desert outside of El Paso, Texas. I trained my cross-country runners in the sand dunes to build endurance and mental toughness. Thanks for reading and commenting on my poetry, Daniel. Have a great week! Bill

your Senyrus reminded me of our running days in the Chihuahuan desert--the blistering hot sun and parched throats and, of course, the 'spider.' The need for water (perhaps the metaphorical waters of life) can be intense while journeying through the deserts of our lives? Hm..my mind is racing. Outstanding, dear hubby! Love your creativity and your mind! hugs, me

If not a mirage, it must be a reverie or a hallucination. Mind is at times so tricky. Great senryu dear Bill....
