Cotton Tree is in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast in Australia where we lived.

All is bright, and I betwixt God and you, the kookaburra is in the willow, and honeyeaters in the honeydew flitter as I lay your breast and pillow. You are my Venus - my Evening Star - sweet inveigler to the contentious heart. Girl, all I need is to be where you are and never know what woe it is to part. So we are in our beguiling divined by no greater ordinance or blessing, but visceral love (like a woman's mind) keep all mortal men eternal guessing. Kid, you mean, and are everything to me, and I do love the stars in Cotton Tree. -------------- For Les. September 1997

A fine romantic sonnet. "So we are in our beguiling divined By no greater ordinance or blessing: But visceral love (like a woman's mind) Keep all common men eternal guessing." That is pure gold writing my friend! BBBravooooo!!!

Thanks again Robert. I'm sure most men (if not all) are kept guessing by the complexities of a woman's mind! At times my understanding of most women can probably be best described as Atomic!

Thanks Kaye. You're so right - Les is lucky! She struck the jackpot when she trapped me. I keep telling her so but she keeps telling me to "get a grip" and to give myself an uppercut! She's right of course - it was me who got lucky! It's been seventeen years now. Really appreciate your comments. God bless!

Thanks Dave. I never thought for one moment when I was writing this or any of my works that I would share it with the world, but I have been converted by the ministry of the Soup! Take care.
