Conducting the Stars

Seeing stars a twinkle, Like the twinkle in your eye Seeing moonbeams dash, Dash across the sky Seeing the dark blue mass, Those twinklings everywhere I’ve heard that they are me and you, After we’ve been here I like that sweet, fresh story, It’s a wondrous thought indeed Why not believe we are stars, Stars shining when we leave I guess it’s not my belief though, For I believe we go to god Though what if god had stars, He conducted from above Conducted them to sparkle, Like a tune with light as notes Conducted them to look at us, And beam his love afloat A Strand (1053) poetry contest Sponsor Brian Strand 15th January 2022
