AN EMBRYO OF A BABY GIRL: HER VOICE

I began mah life, from that single cell, An embryo, from morula to a blastula, O' that beautiful, my mom's amour O' how's the outside world, I was very excited to explore.. See, my little heart got developed , Aww those three lovely layers,I was enveloped . Heh!, It has just been 30 days, But, at the mountain peak was my crazy craze!! Today is the end of first trimester, See, my those genitals and little legs I can, now learn to walk, Ah! am so glad To come out of the womb, I became so mad!! Today I completed, my fifth month inside, Now those tiny hairs covered my size, And that second trimester has end, heh!! I love those pretty eyelashes around my eyes! O' I heard my father's voice, A baby boy, was his choice. To my mom :"I just want a boy", he said "No Girl" otherwise you will be dead.. "Why are you yelling like a banshee? It's not in my hand, It's not in my hand!" Dad contradicted "Just a boy, you have to mould, If a girl, then you will be killed and she will be sold." Listening to them, I got to know That, my dad was like a morose, Now,I was too much frightened, As that delivery day was coming close. No,I can't be the reason behind her death, Though to explore the world,I had willed, But, I can't bear that pain, Because if I will be out,my mom will be killed. My dad's will,I finally abided, To be stillborn, I finally decided. I remember that he wanted me to sell Whenever he saw my mom, everytime he yelled. So, I finally left my mom's placenta, In a grief tone,I cried But all i wanted was that my mom to be saved, So, I left the world, ie. I died!! ~29 May 2021~ •••Sponsor -Charlotte Puddifoot••• •••Contest Name -Open Poetry 5 •••
