Allotment Days on hold
Buttercups & Dandelions
Rhubarb, Raspberries too
Leeks, Lilies, Lavender
Tending I loved to do
Allotment days, they were a joy
The soil between my fingers
Sweet perfume, of sun warmed herbs
Lingers, lingers, lingers
For now my trowel is down though
Allotment goodbye you
Time to move to somewhere else
Pastures new, pastures new!
It was getting rather weedy
The no dig way too hard
So I’m off to plant in great big pots
In the comfort of my wee yard
