Friday night was movie night
hotdogs plastered in crunchy green relish
honey colored mustard and red tangy ketchup
popcorn as salty as a pretzel, icy Kool Aid
and juicy watermelons with black seeds

The movie we watched
was Jurassic World
modern generation offspring of Jurassic Park
with dinosaurs running wild around a fictional island
but as I was trying to view the flick
everyone else around me
were too busy engaging in their own social networks
constant babbling, rambling, gossiping, and squawking
too many shaky sounds
disturbed my concentration on the plot
