How charmed, that pitter-patter on the glass - The trickled weep upon each windowpane, An April code from heaven, sent en masse, To tell me hope is blooming 'midst the rain, (A tap-tap-tap of spring-tide's soft refrain) ... This rain is sent like nectar from the gods, To give each chance at life the fairest odds, Or hear a strain the rain has gently wrung From tender clouds, now all of life applauds ... As with the rain, that song is sweetly sung. ~ 1st Place ~ in the "Strand Pick B, Any Theme, Any Form" Poetry Contest, Brian Strand, Judge & Sponsor. ~ 3rd Place ~ in the "Delightful Dizains" Poetry Contest, Beth Evans, Judge & Sponsor.

Mine, too, Darlene - we must be kindred spirits! I love sunshine, too, but rain is a peaceful of a different kind, and just as beautiful to me. Blessings, Dear Poet! :o) <3
