Under the Twinkling Tree

Tender twinkle of the tree In the moonlight we do see There’s a seat for you and me Under the twinkle of the tree Moonlight sparkles on the leaves Drops of dew cascade and weave We sit silent in tranquility Under the twinkle of the tree Blades of grass so rich and tender Hurry forth towards the sender Crickets crick as we do see Under the twinkle of the tree The hedgehogs nuzzling in the soil Pulling worms up without a toil Happy as we say goodnight Under the twinkle of the tree Morning breaks the air is cool Rabbits run they are nobody’s fool Fire ablaze the breakfast sizzles Under the twinkle of the tree
