The Power of Nature 2
The splashes of the flowing milk and honey
Are the intricate rhythms of nature
As night falls to usher the break of dawn,
Mr. Kingfisher goes fishing by the lake
And Dr. Starling stares all night long at the stars
Whilst Mrs. Woodpecker pecks at the mukwa wood
And Miss Jellyfish wriggles arrogantly
Showing off her new pyjamas.
The sky weeps vividly
And its tears fill the earth
The heavens are filled with rage and fury
They huff, they puff and blow furiously
Wavering Mr. Eucalyptus ‘till he’s off his feet
Only with aid of the sky force soldier:
Lieutenant Colonel Lightning.
The overwhelming powers from the underworld
Cause vigorous vibrations
Moving the earth’s foundations
The roaring thunder hisses from the skies
Devastating engines from below divide the earth into plates
Moving large lands and colliding high rises
A demolishing power is at work
Never to be understood.
