Thanks For The Umm
and post notes and photos about your poem like William Tatum.
I seem to lose track more these days
of everything I do.
My thoughts sneak in to look around,
then bid my mind “adieu”.
And more and more each passing day,
I'll come up with a plan.
Like “in-laws coming over" day,
it spun around and ran!
My friends told me when I was young,
I had a steel-trap mind.
But, like a door-less armored truck,
the truck was pilfered blind!
I try to save my straying thoughts
the moment that they linger
which brought me to a new impasse:
“Ten strings around my finger?”
