Revelation

There once was a child who was very shy, She hid from newcomers under her bed, She was a nervous girl, inclined to cry, She took to heart almost all that was said. At school she was rather a dunderhead, She hated school, and didn't really try, She was round-shouldered, with a halting tread, There once was a child who was very shy. Eventually, her school years passed by, At twenty-four she reached a watershed, When she finally understood why She hid from newcomers under the bed. Working in a New Zealand shearing shed, Not a role she could greatly satisfy, She was told of a book someone had read (She was a nervous girl, inclined to cry). This book, it seemed, was used to classify One's life by the stars clustered overhead, And from this revelation in the sky, She took to heart almost all that was said. Thus she became one by the planets led, Since her self-knowledge they could verify, Guiding her outlook by each astral thread, For she now understands the child thereby There once was. 11/14/20 "It's A Part Of Me" Silent One
