Out Of Court
He did not wish the matter known,
So he spoke in an undertone:
"Have you heard?"
He added, "I will undertake
to scotch the rumours for her sake."
"Your silence seems to underscore
the fact that you may have heard more."
"He will pose as the underdog,
and set up some hard-done-by fog
to fool them."
"It's better if you underwrite
a cheque to get him out of sight."
Stem word: "Under."
Sorry, can't be bothered using rhymezone for such simple rhymes, so I'll NA it myself!
