Notes For Marianne

NOTES FOR MARIANNE Before You entered My life Lonely dust Covered my Palms. I was As stubborn As a grudge, And the air Seemed dusty And thick. Having you With me Increased The size Of my brain As we play A soundtrack Of shared Dreams – We wade Through the Waves of these Dreams, And find A peaceful Quiet street At night, Filled with solace. Even our Winters Are like Indian summers. We live Amongst Cedar cones And sweet fruit, As even The birds Seem to sing At three In the morning. You are A gentle Sorceress In our night. Our eyes are Bright And look Into Each other. As the years Roll by The moon Is still With us.
