A bit like my old grandparents many years ago

Not Sleeping Just Resting my Eyes

Quite often I find myself ruminating,
Pondering the meaning of life.
Questioning my very existence,
Wake up old fool shouts my wife.
Daydreaming is where I excel,
Scheming my next get rich plan.
Anticipation of the elusive miracle,
Take out that trash slothful man.

Not sleeping just resting my eyes,
Considering what might have been.
The Hoover disturbs my slumber,
Kicks my legs, she’s trying to clean.
Perhaps I might win the Lottery,
Or invent the next greatest thing.
Around the World adventures,
If it wasn’t for her hand and that ring.
Follow my rainbow to a pot of gold,
Sports Car I hear you calling.
Take my chance on the open road,
I’d be back weeping and crawling.
If I could summon the courage,
Loosen these chains and break free.
But I won’t because I still love her,
She smiles, are you thinking about me.

In this last phase I also spend lots of time not sleeping but resting my eyes ruminating childhood memories and just anticipating where Me or my soul (?) if exists will go after death. Warm Wishes.
