Some folk want to be something
They have their dreams of fame
They never seem to understand
That life, it be a game
Most don’t do too much thinking
Just tag behind the herd
It seems by life their hearts are never stirred.

Most never see the flowers
All sparkling in the sun
They let the beauty pass them by
Asleep most every one
Their minds all filled with the strife of life
Their lives they lack something
They do not know that life can make their heart sing.

Yet all of this is not for me
I want to be here endlessly
Drinking in this song of life
Living till my time be rife.

Some folk worship riches
And yearn to have it all
Because of this they never see
This world so beautiful
Though it gleams like mystic stardust
It never stirs their soul
Perhaps these folk weren’t destined to be whole

G'day Peter … you are spot on in this set of lyrics. Most people worship the dollar these days and forget about fitting in with nature - thanks Peter - Lindsay

Hi Lindsay. it is because of my oneness with life very few people can relate to me. When I say how much I adore nature many raise there eyes at me. Glad that you can relate to my poems and songs, my friend. always nice to read your kind comments...Peter

I think Auntie Mame could have written this one! Wow! It went to my FAV list the second I read it. This is so TRUE! The truth always resonates fast in my soul.

G'day Caren. I never have had riches to keep me going. just the whiff of a flower is enough for me. Truth is always filling my soul. Sounds like you and I walk the same path. I appreciate your kind comments, once again, my friend....peter
