Fountain And Flowers, Mountain and Birds

A bird sitting on a branch. Artist: Unknown | Bird pencil drawing ... ************** ************** To the rhythm of this poetical season I keep an idle brain for further meditation To the spell of the flowers, now arisen I give full control to the heart's admiration ********** Feelings abound as i ramble and venture Catching the whiff of the breeze, floating free And the herds gayly browse on tender pasture Under sky of sapphire, the cheerful birds flee Then, i mount up the hilly, blue mountain Fueled by the flame of some Romantic poesy A hard long way up, to the Wolf's Fountain To cool my thirst, resting in a spot of fantasy A high rock standing behind, on a steep land * Overlooking the low lands stretching beneath And soft waters glide, gilded by golden sun As the old oak tree shakes when the winds breathe ********** Too much heaven, and the quiet place is clear The robin in full throat, sings carefree on the tree Followed by a flock of sparrows, a few yards near And they drift together in a vernal singing spree And the oak forest lying yonder, in an airy mist Silent at noon, her sylvan spirits, in a drowsy rest I leave the fountain flowing between glossy pebbles To start over a fanciful new hike, into the olden Jebel* ******** As slow as my feet go, i relish every scent every hue Breathe in Spring's nectar and refresh with pearly dew The sun begins to wane, merging with a howling roar A time to glean my crops, singing all the way back home
******** Jebel* : Local name of the mountain

Algeria's Berbers have a great local identity & culture, rooted beyond the powerful Barbary Cosairs! Shhalom, shanthi Om, and Asalaamualaykum Ramathallah wa barakatoh.

alaam PF. I am South African & maybe before U were born, ALGERIA was good to the exiled & weakened ruling party (NOW, since Mandela's freedom) called ANC: African National Congress. Algeria & even Gadaffi were loyal to Africa (not Morocco or Egypt, Tunisia thinks it's FRENCH, a common disease in Northwest). But it is REFRESHING U have local identity. U know EGYPTIAN civilization is never taught as Black African success, just Middle-Eastern!

I agree with Zaynab & your fans, PF! May I add, Ramadan Kareem. Jebel revelas you may be Arabic-speaking; in any case SUCH a welcome delight to have poets speak of Nature superbly (Mideast landscapes not just sandscapes & oil, LOL!) Once upon a time, Baghdad was a center of "Renaissance" before anyone knew it.

Ooh what an impressive delight to imagine even in lockdown, you do justice to nature with your fab poetic pen and it delights my birdlover heart so! I admire many lines in this creative gorgeous poem ESP, " too much heaven' , vernal singing spree" breathe in springs nectar, and more. You saw all that despite lockdown or imagination upon what can be seen in nature ? It's great to have an idle brain if it can muse so wonderfully as you did. Kudos!!

We must transgress the rules, sometimes, the rules that do not harm the civil laws, a walk through the meadows, a trek into the mountains wont harm anyone, but it will actually give great benefits to anybody and revive the dead leaves of such bad times. Thanx Zaynab; i am happy with your comments, and will look forward to reading more of yours !!! Aloha !!!!

The Poet and the Bird! "floating free", touching blissful heights, filling the spirit with a divine Nature, embracing a profound spirituality! a scent of paradise! And an avid reader reaps an awakening bird's song and a bright flame of "Romantic poesy"! Hamid, you both quench your thirst and that of your reader, for a divine beauty as you lend them the spirit of a Bird to flee from a suffocating world to a pure Nature and a peaceful awakened spirit! and the spirit of a great poet whose pen dipped into true feelings. God bless you

From a real experience i write my poems. like diaries of a countryside man, and i strive to convey truth and personal feelings in the best way possible . the mountain and the other elements exist in real life, they are a part of me. live in me even outside poetry.. We must break away from sad times and confinement and skip into Nature to release the pain and charge the batteries once again. A new breath of O2 is must these days ! Yours Sincerely, and many thanx for the good comment you ever still give me. i am humbled.Happy times, and blessings
