experimental transmissions that cause cascade failures

i close my eyes and i open my eyes i see flickering lights tiny pinpoints of perfection that turn into nebulae that turn into galaxies that turn into solar systems that give rise to a pale blue dot of life i have seen the beginning i close my eyes and i open my eyes i see licking embers of flame that cascade down my retina a still frame of heat that repeats in my visual cortex i have seen the ending i close my eyes and i open my eyes i see bent trees with etchings carvings that tell of a pathway through the onslaught of random imagery a way to tell the tree from the forest and the night from the black behind my eyes i have seen the truth i close my eyes and i open my eyes i see aurora borealis in my living room electrifying the grid in my brain turning on the transmitters that send out the messages to feel my heart beating in my chest i have seen the importance of now it must be the misfiring of neurons or a disorder of the brain synesthesia, epilepsy, or charles bonnet a visual symphony of static charged dreams that walk with me in my day to day existance a framework of overlapping images that colour my vision i closed my eyes to open my eyes and i am become a replicant lost in the ionosphere
