The arch and the gate at the church late on.
At dusk. The path. The birds.
The chiselled lines that tell of lives long gone
And the moss that shrouds those words.
The years as one and then the years apart
Engraved upon the stone
Convey the feelings of a broken heart
Of love and of time alone.
