A rich lyre girl

She is as beautiful as a chirping bird Skin made from the bark of a palm tree But her heart is a golden stone Therefore, only a poor boy falls as victim Drunk in love with her appearance Her melodies are passion Driven not beneath my skin nor on the pages of my heart Cause love only kills a poor boy I am touched by her tune Lost in darkness made of sorrows Clothed in shower slippers and filthy rags Cause love only kills a poor boy A charming princess whose name I have inscribed on my heart Wrote love messages on my forehead But her eyes refused to meet mine Cause love only kills a boy poor I am broken like a calabash falling off a banister Tears ruining and piercing my emotions Damaged, dusted and disappointed Cause love only kills a poor boy
