A Meditative Ballad on Buddhist Meditation
"Our Retreat Center courses offer guidance in Buddhist meditations known as
vipassana (insight) and metta (loving-kindness). . . . [T]hese practices are
universal and help to develop awareness and compassion. Retreats range
from a weekend to three months. . . . At the Retreat Center, fees do not
include compensation for the teachings, and teachers rely on the generosity
of retreatants for a sustainable income."

Oh, Buddhist fine,
Full yet divine,
Your youth in meditation spent
Here first among the bums in class
With ever but your supple ass
In still the lotus posture bent
Here first among the bums in class
As off on each retreat you went
To sit a refuge blest content
With ever but your supple ass,
Oh, Buddhist fine,
Here first among the bums in class
A spirit far from Horrors pent
With ever but your supple ass
Full yet divine,
Fool yet divine,
Oh, Buddhist fine!
Dedicated with Respect for all Conscious, Sentient Beings Suffering in Pain Worldwide as monks and meditators are off on another one of their endless secluded retreats "to develop awareness and compassion"
