A Joy To See

Observing kindness, can bring one such joy. Kindness to his mom, by a little boy. Moms on the couch, all tired and unhappy. The child asks, “does mommy need a nappy? The family next door has four active boys. They’re all under six, they make lots of noise. A neighbor saw the mother was worn out, offered to take them for a walk-about. I saw a man asking, “what’s the matter?” The boys then told him, “we have no ladder, Our football got stuck up in that oak tree.” “That’s not too high for me, I’ll get it free.” When people or being like they should be, The kind things they do is a joy to see.

To a man of goodness at heart, sighting every little act of kindness is a joy. A self centerd man never sees such acts. Even if he sees, he doesn't feel anything great about them. A beautiful sonnet dear Bill

Thank you for your thoughtfulness when commenting. You often give me thi9ngs to think about that are helpful to my growth, Valsa. I prayer for eyes that see the needs of those around me and it seems to help with my awareness. It is so easy to get wrapped up in our own thoughts and needs and forget about others. May God bless and keep you, my dear friend. Bill

Those words, 'what's the matter' are so comforting one when is in need. Those simple words are powerful and bring joy to the giver and receiver--not to mention the empathetic looks that often come with those words. Over the past few days you've brought me joy by asking me 'what's the matter." you comforted me, dear hubby

You are so right Bill. Nothing warms my heart more than a show of kindness. Sometimes just a smile from a stranger, but human kindness is better than an electric heater on a frosty morning or an icy popsicle on a blistering hot afternoon. Love your poem, and love the way you think. Your friend Wen.
