A Child's Eulogy

Mother
Even though I am out of sight
And God has choosen to turn off the light
Dont cry, don't ask him why
Just try not to hurt or sigh
These words I write may sound contrite
But in this world death is not wrong or right
Sometimes it's cruel and has it's own rule
Unkind and not at all polite
Mother don't change or re-arrange
While I am out of sight
I know being alone can be a fright
But stand firm, be strong
Wait your turn before walking towards that glorious light
Don't be sadden when your thoughts begin to recite
Those good memories that were a delight
Mother just remember when the stars shine bright
I am that light that will be shining big and bright.
